Happy International Women’s Day!
A day that brings women all over the world together to inspire one another.
A personal inspiration of mine is Malala Yousafzai, a Pakistani activist for female education. On October 9, 2012, a gunman shot Malala when she was travelling home from school. She survived, and has continued to speak out on the importance of education. At the age of only 17 years Malala is a true inspiration that no matter what happens, something extremely positive can come out of it and she has used her experience to fight for the right for young girls to be educated. She is now the youngest girl to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
Using the hashtag #onedayiwill I have also been able to share my dream with the world. I wish to work with a volunteer company, African Impact, to help with the conservation of Elephants in Africa and Orangutans in the jungle and to bring a stop to deforestation. This is something I have been very keen on researching and one day aim to work together on to save our planet and wildlife.
